WEEE!!! So, it’s finally that time when I figured out a sutable contest theme- and I chose smething I believe everyone can enjoy. Wait for it…. wait for it….. it’s… it’s….. *dramatic pause for effect* Superheroes!!! 8D Who here has never had a favorite hero with super-human powers? C’mon, admit it- no one has! So, while I’m sure that this has been done before, I’m gonna go straight ahead and do it anyway. You have this chance to create your very own *trumpet* du du du duuunnn!! Superhero!! Or, to make it interesting, a *tuba* dun dun duuuuuuuuunnn!! Supervillain!! *insert evil maniacal laughter here*

So, to help you get stated, I’ve got some guidelines for you:

- Be sure this person has a past, a reason for choosing to fight evil, or justice, or whatever. You know, a – what do you call ‘em? – motive for their actions.
-A secret identity is mandatory – ever heard of a superhero in full costume buying groceries? Or a supervillain in their evil cape walking their dog? NO! Didn’t think so. But you can, however, be as brief as you want about it. Just make sure you locate their place of living, work, maybe a hobby or two, and of course their name.
- Give your super-person a cool name- like Ice-Scream for an icy villain or Captain Ape for a guy with super monkey abilities.
- Tell me what makes them so “super” and how they got their powers, or if they always had them.
- No copyrighting.
-Sidekicks are totally optional. If you choose to create a sidekick on the side, don’t forget to give them a costume that’s complimentary to the hero/villain. None of that batman/robin contradiction. XD (Honestly… robin’s a walking bullseye target so batman can hide in the shadows and throw home made ninja stars at random)
- Catchy catch phrases are mandatory- every hero and villain has one. It can be as simple as “this world will soon be mine*evil cackle*” or as ‘epic’ as “talk to the hand – of justice!” right before they punch a guy out. *note: go ahead and use these, if you want- but try not to. XD
- Human earthlings are optional. Make up a new planet and sat theyre from there. You dont have to elaborate on the planet, but give it a name and such.. Please dont forget to tell me why they came to earth.
- Also, talking mutant animals are cool too. Make up some sort of nuclear waste or space metal and turn an animal into a super-whatever.
- NO NUDITY!!
- The classic super-tights thing is definitely optional, but if you feel you can pull it off go right ahead and clad them in tighty-wighties. Capes are also optional.

So, draw me a picture of your superhero or super villain, and put the info in the comments. Remember that your story can be as elaborate or as simple as you wish- just enough to explain the basics, but not overly boringly tediously looooooooong. Like this journal. (jk.)

You have a few months for this, so don’t panic. Notify me if you want to join the fun, and you’ll be good to go. I’ll be letting people join up until November 25 (my b-day. Easy enough for me to remember). But entries can come in even before then. The end date will be around jan/feb, depending on how many join and when and what not.
